Viewpoint of the Sierra del Pilar

This viewpoint is located at the gates of the city, in one of the highest places in Vila Nova de Gaia. From there you will appreciate an impressive panoramic view over the Douro River, its bridges and the city of Porto.

To get here you can do it by car and the continue walking a few metres from the parking area.

D.Luís I bridge

It is the most famous bridge that crosses the Douro River and links the city with Vila Nova de Gaia. It was inaugurated at the end of the 19th century and was built in iron. Today it is one of the most emblematic images of Porto.

São Bento station

This station is one of the most genuine and impressive places of Porto. Its walls are covered with blue tiles that review the history of the city and the country: country scenes, epic battles, landings and coronations.
